Ed demonstrating how to use electrical test equipment to an adult ed group Over this past weekend I received an inquiry from John asking about where he might find some good training opportunities to learn about his diesel engine and electrical system. Hey Ed- "I have been a sailboat owner for many years, but have never learned about maintaining a diesel engine or the electrical system. Where can I get training that is better than a generalized overview; training that would be practical ...

Rick writes in with a really good question about his batteries and Prosine 2.0 Inverter charger. I'm going to share this one because I'll bet many of you have similar questions/concerns. Prosine 2.0 Inverter charger is shown in the center-upper unit with yellow trim.

Well it must be "how to" season as I'm starting to hear from many of our readers and they have a broad range of questions from the complex, to the seemingly simple. A few day's ago a fellow named Ed sent us a query that seems pretty simple. Here it is: “hi Ed- i have to add lights and a radio to my boat. i have the switch and fuse box but i dont know about the neg and the ground wire connection.”

Ed's Battery Tester I received a nice email from one of my favorite students yesterday asking what my thoughts were on the state of the art in battery testing. I always love hearing from former students and knowing that things are going well, and of course I'm happy to know she's found www.edsboattips.com
