Not one to let life get in the way of her dreams, Jeanne Socrates commissioned a new Najad 380 for her solo journey.

Although a little difficult to see, here is a photo of Jeanne Socrates' computer screen showing the weather for her rounding of Cape Horn aboard Nereida, her Najad 380.

On Monday, January 7, intredpid solo-sailor Jeanne Socrates rounded Cape Horn during her third attempt at a non-stop, unassisted circumnavigation beneath the five Great Capes. And, oh yeah, she's 70 years old.
