Beneteau 54: A Mini Review
Jeremy McGeary reviews a cruiser that completes the top end of it's line for the CW 2009 Sailboat Show

With the introduction of the Beneteau 54, the new Beneteau line of cruising boats with the Nauta Design themed interiors is now complete at its top end. As with the other larger models, the "boat parts" are designed by Berret-Racoupeau, and reflect that team's flair and approach to sailing. The rig has a big mainsail and fractional genoa with a short overlap, and the keel shows a vertical leading edge and a flared bulb tip.

Belowdecks, the general arrangement of components is similar to that in the entire range, but the extra length permits more space in each of them. Two cabins are fitted aft, with forward of them the galley to port and a head to starboard. Forward of the mast, a choice of layouts is offered between a single master stateroom with ensuite head and desk or two cabins and two heads. An optional crew cabin can be fitted in the bow.
