Discovery Spirit 50: A Mini ReviewJeremy McGeary reviews a cat for a crew of two for the CW 2009 Sailboat Show

One of the design objectives is that the Spirit 50 should be sailed by two people, so electric winches provide muscle at the helm station, to which all sail control lines lead. The forward-facing nav desk in the saloon also contributes toward that goal. Below, the layout is open to customization, and as presented lends itself to three or four staterooms within the hulls and forward bridgedeck, while the galley and lounge occupy the saloon. Cockpit and saloon are on one level, and changes between levels on deck have been kept to a minimum. www.discoveryyachts.co.uk
