Feeling 55 : Mini ReviewCruising World 2008 New Boat Showcase

Feeling is part of the French Alliaura Marine, which is best known in North America for its Privilθge line of cruising catamarans, and it's hard not to notice the influence the catamaran side of the business has had on this sumptuously outfitted cruising monohull. On deck, the cockpit seating, shaded by a rigid bimini that grows out of a mainsheet-bearing targa arch is one clue. Below, the full-width raised saloon with its 360-degree view of the outside world is another. Beneath that lie twin engines powering sail drives, another unusual arrangement in a monohull. A big, flush foredeck and a broad afterdeck provide lots of room for water toys and a retracting sprit up front and twin rudders in the rear suggest that exciting sailing will be just one of the rewards for acquiring a boat that fits no ordinary box.
