Hunter designer Glenn Henderson set out to improve on his successful Hunter 38 Design and appears to have succeeded. The new deck design is sleeker with better ergonomics and improved sail handling systems. There are twin wheels for better visibility and excellent access to the stern. Large side ports in the cabin top bring in the light and the views. Below decks the two cabin one head layout is retained but with more room for cruising comforts and appearances have been updated with faux granite countertops and a beveled laminate sole. Major options include a three cabin layout, shallow keel, furling mainsail and a larger engine.
