Jeanneau 33i: A Mini ReviewCarol Vernon reviews this unconventional yet very rational cruiser for the CW 2010 Sailboat Show
Sep 17, 2009 By Carol Vernon (More articles by this author)
With all the features of a good, modern cruising boat you'd expect from Jeanneau, two features of the new 33i are striking, a very large keel bulb and a massive aft cabin bunk. With nearly no overhangs, wide stern sections and abundant stability she is a voluminous 33 footer and should be a quick. While far from radical, many details are slightly unconventional yet completely rational. For example, aside from the jib sheets, all lines are to one port side winch for a mere three winch total, saving weight, money and space. The cockpit seats are angled for wider side decks where you enter the cockpit and better access around the wheel.
