Moody 45 Classic: A Mini Review

Carol Vernon reviews this classic design for the 2010 CW Sailboat Show.

Oval ports, high gloss mahogany brightwork and a traditional sheer create an elegant, classic alternative to the distinctly modern lines of the Moody 45DS. However, this Bill Dixon design utilizes modern material and technology to make a boat that is safe and easy to sail on passages long or short. Moody is willing to customize many things to suit the owner including a choice of keel designs, hull color, interior finishes, and even the cabin layout. The standard layout has a large owners cabin forward with ensuite head and two double cabins aft with a second head opposite the galley.
