Najad 355 : Mini ReviewCruising World 2008 New Boat Showcase

Najad's Nordic clarity of purpose permeates the rugged construction and the solidly built and sensibly laid out interior of the 355. Solid, though, doesn't mean slow, especially when hull, rig, and appendage design come with the stamp of the Judel/Vrolijk studio. Typical Najad details, like the fiddled cabin-top areas beside the companionway hatch, reveal the builder's sensitivity to how people actually use their boats. No lines led to this area means it stays dry behind the fixed windshield. Sail controls instead lead to the cockpit coamings where they are closer to the helm. The rig is designed to provide optimum windward performance without a big genoa. Offwind power is offered by an optional furling gennaker.
