This shot has what it takes to win the Summer Photo Contest.

And the winner is......
The photo that won this year's Summer Photo Contest was taken by CW forum member Asta Poirier. The shot is of Nemesis, a boat owned by Poirier's friend, Alex Meyer, and it gets the nod because it accomplishes the difficult task of providing a glimpse of what it's like to be reefed down in big waves on film. Both Poirier and Meyer were sailing from Stuart to Palm Beach, Florida in a race that was held by The St. Lucie Sailing Club. He calls it "Submarine with sails?" We call it award winning. And the prize, an underwater camera provided by SeaLife, should make it even easier for Poirier to get heavy weather shots in the future.
