Horizon Yacht Charters, with bases throughout the Caribbean islands, has added a U.S. base in Annapolis, Maryland, at Yacht Haven Marina. As the charter arm of Bavaria Yachts U.S.A., it offers bareboat and crewed charters, learn-to-sail programs, and yacht-management services.
Bavaria Yachts U.S.A. opened in May 2011 as the sole U.S. importer, distributor, and dealer for Bavaria on the U.S. East Coast and across to the Great Lakes and Texas.
Horizon Yacht Charters, operating since 1998, has been the Caribbean importer of Bavarias since 2000 and manages more than 50 Bavarias in a fleet of 100 charter yachts at its bases in the British Virgin Islands, Antigua and Barbuda, Sint Maarten, and Grenada.
The Bavaria Yachts brand in the United States includes the Cruiser models, designed by Farr Yacht Design and BMW DesignworksUSA, and the Vision series. Yachts from the 2011 Cruiser range are available for charter on Chesapeake Bay.
Bavaria Yachts U.S.A. is co-owned by managing director Kenny Feld and directors Andrew Thompson and Sylvia Driver. Thompson and Driver are the founding directors of Horizon Yacht Charters in the Caribbean and have combined experience of 40 years in the sailing industry. Geoff McCord is the general manager for Bavaria Yachts U.S.A. and Horizon Yacht Charters, Annapolis. McCord was previously the regional sales manager for Beneteau U.S.A. for 25 years. Le Boat Adds to European Fleet
The first 29 Le Boat 1500 series boats are ready for charter at the company’s bases across France and Germany. The series offers a host of features for inland-waterway cruising, from easy maneuvering via joystick to hybrid (diesel/electric) power, bow thrusters, and spacious top-deck space.

Premier Plus Program Offers Newest in Sunsail Fleet

Moorings Adds Crewed-Yacht Destinations in the Med
The Moorings has opened two crewed-yacht charter destinations, in Nice, France, and Orhaniye, Turkey.
