With a generous sail plan, the boat isn’t a true motorsailer, but with either twin 75-horsepower engines or a single 165-horsepower diesel, the boat cruises at 12 knots with a powering range beyond 500 miles. The Shannon 38 HPS is part of Cruising World's 2013 New Boat Showcase.
