App of the Month: American Sailing Association
This handy app from the ASA stands out for its simplicity and usefulness.
With handy reference info like lights, buoys, knots, and sailing terms, a library of useful instructional videos, and a cool position feature that lets you easily send your lat/long, speed, and bearing to anyone via email, this app has lots to offer newer sailors and salts alike. There is also a easy-to-use logbook, which is a nice way to keep track of your sea time, and online access to weather data and information from the American Sailing Association.
The ASA app is available for $0.99 through the App Store on iTunes for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
