American Brad Van Liew is home in Charleston, South Carolina, after winning
his fourth consecutive leg of the VELUX 5 OCEANS Race. A key element in the
event addresses sustainability in the marine environment. Aboard Brad's
boat, Le Pingouin, the 3-time round-the-world racer saves diesel fuel to
recharge his batteries by employing an ingenious set of hydro-generators
that are deployed off his transom while underway. Check out Brad's
explanation of this cutting-edge technology on this video.
