Seawind celebrated this year’s Pittwater Regatta on October 28-30th with the biggest turnout in the 13-year history of the event. With a total of 40 multihulls entered including 32 x Seawinds and 8 x Corsair Trimarans, who were invited for the first time following Seawind’s acquisition of the company last year, the regatta was a huge success and is the largest regatta of Multihulls over 20 feet in the country and the largest regatta of its kind in the world.

Following a brilliant invitation race in an 18-knot northeasterly on Friday evening, the 100th Seawind 1160 Centurion was put on display after being launched just recently. A bottle of champagne and crew shirts were presented by Managing Director Richard Ward to all four new owners who are part of a newly formed Seawind Syndicate to be based on Sydney Harbour. The 2nd Seawind 1000XL2 was also on display with the new owner taking the helm for the first time over the weekend and Seawind staff training him onboard during the regatta.

The big news of the regatta was the launch of a new sales, brokerage, and service business – Multihull Central. With head quarters soon to be based at the newly built Multihull marina at Rozelle Bay, Multihull Central also has an expert team of sales representatives around Australia in locations including Sydney, Pittwater, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Airlie Beach, Melbourne and Perth. See www.multihullcentral.com for more information.
