Cruisers' Safety Group Changes Internet Address

Locate the Caribbean Safety and Security Net at www.safetyandsecuritynet.com
by Kitty Martin

The Caribbean Safety and Security Net has a new web address (www.safetyandsecuritynet.com). The organization can still be reached on SSB 8104.0 every day at 1215 UTC.

The Caribbean Safety and Security Net was started in 1996 in an effort to alert cruisers in Venezuela about frequent outboard and dinghy thefts during that summer. It's now an interactive high-frequency radio network of cruising yachts that meet each morning to exchange information about safety and security concerns in the Eastern Caribbean, with the main purpose being to report and log incidents of crimes against cruising boats.
