Island Packet 360: Cruising World Sailboat Show 2012
The Island Packet 360 offers cruising comfort, liveability, and safety. "Sailboat Review" from our January 2012 issue.
Designer Bob Johnson knows what Island Packet owners want: cruising comfort, livability, and safety. The IP 360 bears all the tried and true Island Packet hallmarks: Johnson’s patented “full foil” keel with encapsulated internal ballast; a wide bowsprit enclosed by a strong bow pulpit; a roller-furling cutter rig with a self-tacking Hoyt jib boom; solid bulwarks and high lifelines; outstanding ventilation, with 11 opening ports, five hatches, and two dorades; and spacious accommodations.
The IP 360 is laid out with an owners stateroom and head forward, with a second large cabin aft. The main saloon with its two deluxe reclining armchairs converts from a dining area to an inviting living room when the table is folded away against the forward bulkhead. The compact galley incorporates all the essentials. The interior finish has been upgraded with raised panel doors and wood ceilings, features previously reserved for the largest boats in the fleet.
Island Packets have traditionally held their value well, and the company stands behind its boats with impressive warranties: three-year stem to stern and 10-year hull and deck. Island Packet’s many fans will find much to please them in the new IP 360.
