Lagoon 400: A Mini Review
For its new models, Lagoon has sharpened up the exterior styling. The Lagoon 400, due out next spring, has firmer corners to the deckhouse and the cabin roof is swept upward aft to incorporate a fixed, solid, integral cockpit awning. The helm station is raised and notched into this roof at the bulkhead on the port side. The cockpit sole is on a level with the saloon and down a step from the aft deck, and the swim and boarding platforms in the transom "skirts" are oriented inward.
In the saloon, the galley is aft, where a window communicates with the cockpit lounge. A nav desk is forward, to starboard, adjacent to the saloon lounge, which forms an L to port.
As is customary with Lagoons, the 400 is offered with an owner version or a charter layout. Flush hatches in the deck admit light and air into the hulls.
