Cruisers gather at Great Salt Pond on Block Island in Rhode Island every Labor Day for an early Christmas celebration (above). Submit your holiday-themed photos for a chance to win cool prizes Joe Baptista

At a time of year when many Americans are nestled around the hearth listening for the pitter patter of reindeer, we here at Cruising World remain focused on the water, frigid though it may be. We’re not alone– harbor parades and festively decorated boats serve as a colorful reminder that plenty of folks make sailing a part of their holiday.

Do you celebrate the season in a nautical way? Maybe you hoist an inflatable Santa up the mast, or share a cup of egg nog with your cruising buddies? Whatever it is, we’d love to see your photos. Now through January 31, 2009, upload your submissions to our Holiday Photo Contest gallery for a chance to win a collapsible cart by Kart-It. Second-place prizes include a copy of Jimmy Cornell’s “A Passion for the Sea,” a Cruising World T-shirt, and a 2009 Cruising World calendar; third place wins a Cruising World T-shirt and a 2009 Cruising World calendar.

You must be a registered member of the CW Community to participate. To register, click here. Once you’re registered, upload your photos to the Holiday Photo Contest gallery.
