Sea Caves at Devils Island

Bayfield, WI and Port Superior (3 mi South) are gateways to the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior. Sailing among the Apostle Islands offers lively sailing for the experienced and if too lively the option of ducking into the lee of many of the 22 islands. Eight light houses among the 21 islands of the National Lakeshore and sea caves on Devils and Sand Island and the mainland shoreline provide great vistas and the opportunity for land based exploring. The 22nd island, Madeline Island is not part of the National Lakeshore and along with Bayfield and Port Superior offers marina services, restaurants and charter fleets.
