Through the Storm
What was it like to be there? Check out this video from Bella Luna, one of the participants in the 2011 North American Rally to the Caribbean. Many in the fleet experienced days of gale-force winds and the waves to match and even a late-season tropical storm.
For the fleet headed south to the Caribbean last fall, the route between Newport, Rhode Island, and Bermuda proved to be a tough one. The crew aboard Bella Luna, a Swan 48, experienced some problems with their sails and took this video after they diverted to Charleston, South Carolina. More on the 2011 NARC here.
