Our French barge voyage this past summer was one of the most exceptional CW charters ever – so wonderful in fact that readers who couldn’t go have pleaded with us to offer it again. So, here it is, for an exclusive few. Join us on this one-way voyage of discovery, from Migennes to Chatel-Censoir, through the picturesque villages and stunning vineyards of Burgundy. As you meander along the quiet canals, pull over and explore when the mood strikes, stroll through local outdoor markets, enjoy the finest food and wine in France, and visit the medieval town of Auxerre. Cycle peacefully from one village to the next if you like – there are bikes aboard each boat ¬- and all along this spectacular canal is a flat, paved bike path. Perfection! Our spacious self-drive LeBoat barges, 42 feet with three cabins, are fun and simple to operate. Fill a boat yourself, or we’ll put you together with other great folks and make a full crew. Our seven-night voyage includes a night in Paris, cocktail party and welcome dinner, starter provisions, a train trip through the countryside, and a wine-tasting and tour of the Caves de Bailly winery. Caring for your every need will be Peter and Carol King, our organizers extraordinaire.
