New Partnership Forms in the Virgins

Dream Yacht Charter and The Multihull Company have teamed up to form Dream Yacht North America, which provides exclusive bareboat, luxury crewed, and per-cabin charter vacations. Dream Yacht will also offer yacht-ownership programs, including guaranteed-revenue and fractional-ownership plans.

Dream Yacht, one of the world’s largest bareboat-charter operators, manages bases in Europe, across the Indian and Pacific oceans, and on the French Caribbean islands of Guadeloupe, St. Martin, and Martinique. In January 2009, Dream Yacht Charter and The Multihull Company opened a new base on the east end of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. The Tortola catamaran fleet includes a new Catana 41 and a new Lagoon 420, a Catana 431, Catana 471, and a new Catana 50 Ocean Class that’s chartered with captain and crew. Three new monohulls are also a part of the fleet: a Harmony 42, a Harmony 47, and a Harmony 52.

Florida Company Adds Cats
Southwest Florida Yachts has added two sailing catamarans to its charter fleet. Final Fling and Purr-Fect Lady join the sailing fleet at Burnt Store Marina, in Punta Gorda, Florida, which gives charter customers access to the Gulf of Mexico. The Gemini 34-footers are known for their easy sailing characteristics and generous accommodations. With a master cabin, two double sleeping cabins aft, plus a convertible dinette, each vessel comfortably sleeps up to six people. Other cruising comforts include large galleys equipped with a stove, an oven, and refrigeration.

Both vessels sport a complete array of electronics for navigation, including autopilots, depth sounders, speed/distance logs, wind instruments, GPS, and VHF marine radios. The cats join six other sailboats from 24 to 35 feet in the S.W.F.Y. sailing fleet.
