If it’s high time you replace that worn canvas bag you’ve been hauling around since you owned your first boat, consider replacing it with a new one from Ann Veronica. This company, based in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, features canvas tote bags, handbags, and cotton accessories in nautically themed, silk-screened designs.

Every Ann Veronica bag is hand sewn and hand printed using the heaviest weight all-natural canvas as well as all-natural dyes. No two tote bags are alike, all are made of 100-percent biodegradable cotton canvas and are eco-friendly, and every bag is individually designed and signed at the studio by the craftspeople who make them.

This fall, Ann Veronica will launch “Inspiration Totes,” a line of bags with a philanthropic twist. The three designs are named after a Maine town that embodies community, optimism, and environmental stewardship, and 10 percent of the proceeds from each bag sold will be donated to a particular charity.
