Beneteau 37 : Mini Review
Cruising World 2008 New Boat Showcase

Sep 11, 2007
By Jeremy McGeary (More articles by this author)

To distinguish the Beneteau 37 from the larger boats in its "next generation" series, Beneteau turned to Groupe Finot for the naval architecture. It retained Nauta Yachts to design the interior, so there is continuity of ambience throughout the range.

The two-cabin layout provides an all-function head compartment with lots of elbowroom. This component and a nice sea berth in the saloon both give up space when the third cabin is introduced.

From off the boat, the Finot influence is visible in the sheerline's positive upward sweep that ends at the bow at a stem just shy of plumb. The mast is quite well aft, the smallish mainsail being balanced by a 105-percent jib
