New Boats Abound at the U.S. Sailboat Show
Earlier this week, CW editor Mark Pillsbury and BOTY director Herb McCormick arrived in Annapolis as the preliminary judging panel to check out the entries for this year's contest. Over the weekend, judges Tim Murphy, Ed Sherman and Alvah Simon will be conducting dockside inspections, and next week, after the show, sail trials will take place on Chesapeake Bay. What follows is a sneak peek at features from the latest fleet of new sailboats for 2013. The BOTY winners will be announced in the January, 2013 issue, so stay tuned.
Set-up day at the 2012 U.S. Boat Show in Annapolis, Maryland was damp! This year, "Ego Alley" is the scene of "Vacation Basin," where a host of charter companies are displaying a wide range of cats and monohulls for holidays the world over.
