Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts
Vineyard Haven is a retreat with all of the necessities.
I live in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, and keep our 36-foot Jeanneau at the nearby Fairhaven shipyard. My husband and I got married on Cuttyhunk, sail all around the Elizabeth Islands, swim in the estuaries of Hadley Harbor, and love Tarpaulin Cove. But as chief cook and bottlewasher/cabingirl, I love Vineyard Haven on Martha’s Vineyard because I can hop on a bus, get ice, go to the movies—and still enjoy some beautiful surroundings!
