For several years now, we’ve been following the journey of solo-sailor Jeanne Socrates, and she has never ceased to amaze us with her courage and upbeat demeanor. What makes her remarkable? She’s a grandmother and almost 69 years old—proof that age really only is a number, for sure! Last May, she completed her second solo circumnavigation in South Africa, and she is currently underway from South Africa to Hobart, Tazmania, from which she will sail to Victoria, British Columbia, to stage her third circumnavigation. And this time- she wants to do it non-stop!
