Are you stuck behind a computer screen while your boss is off on vacation somewhere? Well, the Sevenstar Round Britain and Ireland Race features both world-class professional teams and Corinthian crews and starts on August 23. Who’d know if you took a quick break from your TPS reports to follow all the action from the friendly confines of your cube? Internet spectators will be able to see the relative positions of all boats in the fleet and where they stand on handicap. Race competitors will also be sending messages, pictures, and videos of their adventures.

And if just following the race is not enough, race organizers have set up a “Virtual Regatta” that will allow armchair experts around the world test their skills against the sailors in the actual race.

Click here to follow the race and to sign up for the “virtual” one.
