Learn to Sail on the Sea of Abaco

Women who enroll in the Sea Sense liveaboard sailing course will have the opportunity to learn skills necessary for bareboat chartering and passagemaking. Sea Sense

Sea Sense, the sailing school for women, has chosen the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas as the location for its April 6 to 12, 2008, liveaboard sailing course. Sailors of all ages and levels are invited to participate.

The week will be spent aboard a modern 40-foot sloop, and subjects covered will include seamanship, sail trim, navigation, engine maintenance, docking, and man-overboard drills. The course is taught by Coast-Guard licensed women and emphasizes the skills necessary for bareboat chartering and passagemaking.
