Helly Hansen—official apparel provider for The Ocean Race—has unveiled items from its SSS25 Sailing Collection. The idea, according to the company, is to offer “world-class materials and design for all boaters, from round-the-world sail racers to casual weekend cruisers.”
Some of the new styles include the Pier 4.0 jacket ($280), which is designed for tough coastal conditions. It comes in men’s and women’s versions, is waterproof and breathable, is made with recycled materials, and has articulated sleeve construction and less restriction when wearing a life jacket. This jacket also has a brushed tricot collar, packable neon hood and several pockets, including double-entry hand pockets and chest hand-warmer pocket.

Also new is the Pier 4.0 bib ($200), which also is available in styles for men and women. It’s designed for inshore and coastal sailors with waterproof, breathable fabric that’s reinforced on the seat and at the knees. Adjustable elastic suspenders help with getting fit just right. A two-way zipper and fan-shaped protection flap are part of the design for hitting the head without having to undress.
Another new product is the HP Hybrid Stretch Insulator ($200), which is intended for men and women on milder inshore sailing days or as a midlayer on cold days. The synthetic blowable insulation offers warmth, while the body-mapped fleece lining provides additional comfort. This item is water-repellent with articulated elbows and two-way stretch fabric for unrestricted movement. An external hanging loop and zippered hand pockets help when it’s time for storage.

There’s also the HH Tech Hoodie ($40), which is for men with a version available as a Long Sleeve Crew for women. The HH Tech Hoodie has UPF 50 sun protection, moisture-wicking and quick-drying fabric, and flatlock seams. It’s made with recycled materials.

Yet another new offering is the Koster All-Weather Jacket ($220), which is intended for four-season, all-weather waterproof use by men and women alike. It’s a seam-sealed design with two-layer construction. The men’s version has a packable hood, and adjustable bottom hem and cuffs, for customizable styling. There’s also zippered inner pockets and hand pockets with snap-button closures. The women’s version has a packable hood, adjustable cuffs and hem, and zippered hand pockets.

Still want more? Helly Hansen has more: The company’s new offerings also include the Koster Windbreaker ($100). It resists water and wind with an elastic hem and cuffs and other features.
