RemigoOne, an electric outboard that produces the equivalent of 3 hp, is now available in North America.

The outboard comes from Slovenian-based Remigo, which also offers a range of chargers and other accessories. The RemigoOne, according to the company, does more than mimic gasoline-powered outboard engines.

“RemigoOne is engineered from the ground up as a modern, ergonomic solution for tenders, small sailboats, and recreational boaters,” the company stated in a press release. “With a built-for-outcomes design philosophy, RemigoOne has revolutionized the small electric outboard market, winning the prestigious DesignEuropa Award in 2023.”

The electric outboard is built from marine-grade aluminum to resist UV rays, the effects of salt water, and the kind of wear and tear that can scar plastic.

Features include a shaft that’s less than 2 inches thick, and no need for cables or electrical connections. The product’s weight is 26 pounds, which the company says makes it the lightest 1,000-watt outboard in its class. The tiller is foldable and doubles as a carrying handle.

There’s a 1085 Wh integrated battery built with individually welded LiFePo cells inside the aluminum shaft profile. An optional remote control is available, in addition to the installed buttons for operation.

Can other boaters see this electric outboard at night? According to the manufacturer, yes. 3M retroreflective decals are installed for night visibility.
