Forespar’s Nova Davit is designed to be mounted on the stern of boats that have pushpits. Construction is of stainless steel with Marelon gussets at the bend and at the outboard end. Combined, the davits can lift 350 pounds and they extend 45 inches from the stern to hoist wide dinghies. The apparatus uses Harken roller bearing blocks, so your muscle power goes into hoisting rather than overcoming friction. You can swing the davits out of the way when they’re not in use, or remove them altogether.
