If you own a RescYou yachting or fishing life raft, your model may be subject to a recall.
Viking Life-Saving Equipment, manufacturer of RescYou rafts, is recalling certain serial numbers to check suspect pressure relief valves.
Thanner & Co., supplier of pressure relief valves for Viking, has informed the manufacturer that potential problems with its Thanner OTS 65-type valve prevent the life rafts from inflating properly.
Owners of either RescYou life rafts or RescYou Pro life rafts should check the serial number on their raft. The models of concern are labeled UKL (RescYou) and USKL (RescYou Pro). The type and serial number can be found on the certificate of compliance that came with the raft, on the registration label on the bottom of the life raft container, or on the valise.
