An Award-Winning Design

Jeanneau receives the Cruising World Boat of the Year award for the Sun Odyssey 379.

Jeanneau BOTY award

Impressive during its dockside inspection and a spirited performer on the water, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379 took home double honors during last fall’s Cruising World‘s 2012 Boat of the Year contest. Accepting awards for Best Midsize Cruiser, 36 to 40 Feet and Domestic Boat of the Year from CW Editor Mark Pillsbury (left) are Jeanneau’s Sailboat Product Manager Erik Stromberg and Jeanneau America President Paul Fenn. Several of Jeanneau’s models, including the 379, are produced in Marion, South Carolina, as well as at yards in France. The awards were handed out in person during the Strictly Sail Miami boat show, where Jeanneau introduced it’s new Sun Odyssey 509.
