First Impressions

After years of non-stop action, Alvah, Diana, and the Roger Henry have returned to New Zealand.

After eight hard days at sea, a quiet dawn reveals the rugged tip of Bream Head, the entry to our home bay in New Zealand.

Home is the Sailor from the Sea

Bluewater sailors will wax poetic on the beauty, grace and power of the Sea. With a misty eye we will confess our deep devotion to her and pledge eternal love. In that sense we are a pathetic lot for it is an unrequited love. The Sea is as cold as she is deep, as fickle as she is wide.

Boys will be boys.

Home Alone

With Diana off the boat, boys will be boys on the passage from Fiji to New Zealand.

Kyoko and Jim Bandy have created a small economic marvel on Also Island, in a remote region of northern Fiji. Cruising sailors are invited to participate in their Deck of Knowledge, but be sure bring a big heart and a sincere interest in the local people.
