Among the submissions to /CW/’s Spring Video Contest is “Arapaho’s First Outing of 2009,” which documents a frigid foray into Buzzards Bay.
How do you know when you’re a diehard sailor? Well, if your idea of a good time is daysailing on Buzzards Bay in the middle of April, you’ve got every right to consider yourself hard-core. It’s cold in New England in April. In fact, it’s pretty darn cold here in May.
So when I came across “Arapaho’s First Outing of 2009,” stonehorse46’s submission to CW’s Spring Video Contest, I knew I was dealing with a serious seaman. Watching the video, in which the wind whistles and the spray flies across the deck of the Concordia yawl Arapaho, I feel like putting on my foul-weather gear.
