World ARC Goes Annual

Now there are more chances to cruise in company with this popular circumnavigating rally.

World ARC

If you want to circumnavigate, but like the thought of having a schedule and the camaraderie of fellow sailor who are following the same route, consider joining the World ARC cruising rally.

Starting with the 2014 event, you’ll have even more chances to get in on the action as the World ARC becomes an annual event. Interest has increased over the years—there are 30 boats participating in the 2012 rally—and demand from would-be participants has led to this decision. Organized by the World Cruising Club, this rally has enabled over 200 boats and 950 people to safely sail around the world since 1992. The next World ARC starts January 2012 in Rodney Bay, St. Lucia and follows a course that sails around the Cape of Good Hope, finishing in April 2013. www.worldcruising.com/WORLDARC2012.
