Cabo Rico Northeast 450: A Mini Review

Carol Vernon finds this motorsailer to be functional sailing and motoring, in her review for the CW 2010 Sailboat Show

The second motorsailer design from Cabo Rico comes from Sparkman & Stephens, a firm with long term experience in motorsailer design. This is not a powerboat with sails nor an overpowered sailboat, but a truly functional boat under either sail or power. The aft cockpit has all sail controls and plenty of seating for fine weather. In not so fine weather, the pilothouse/saloon area protects you from cold rain or blistering sun, extending your cruising season no matter where you sail. The layout below is perfect for a couple living aboard for extended periods. There is a big cabin, spacious head, full galley and a second cabin that is designed to be a den but can convert quickly to a double cabin.
