Friendship 46: A Mini Review

Carol Vernon reviews this stylish weekend cruiser for the CW 2010 Sailboat Show

Friendship 46 mini 368

Filling in the gap between their 40′ and 53′ models, the Friendship 46 is, like her successors, a study in elegance. Moving up from the 40, this new boat has a bigger galley, much larger head with shower, and a second cabin. Everything needed for short coastal cruises is there, yet she is not so large that you would think twice about taking her for a quick afternoon sail. The large cockpit and easily handled sail plan are a clear sign that this boat was meant for experiencing the joy of sailing. As nice as they are, the living accommodations are just icing on the cake.
