Raymarine will add wireless components to it marine electronics line through the acquisition of Tacktick, based in the United Kingdom. The deal was announced on June 29.
Tacktick offers a range of wireless, solar power displays and a wireless masthead wind instrument that are a popular, easy-to-install refit option for the do-it-yourselfer. In recent product rollouts, the company has added features geared for the performance sailor as well.
According to the announcement from Raymarine, Tacktick’s product line complements Raymarine’s and eventually will be distributed through the company’s network of dealers worldwide.
Tacktick users should benefit from the acquisition as the wireless devices are interfaced with Raymarine’s larger range of marine electronics.
