2014 new boat showcase

Dufour 410 Grand’ Large

A plumb bow and stern and beam carried well aft give the 410 Grand’ Large lots of room below for well-thought-out living spaces. On deck, a split cockpit ensures the skipper has room to work behind twin wheels, while the crew lounges around the teak drop-leaf table. The Dufour 410 is part of Cruising World‘s 2014 New Boat Showcase.

Dehler 38

Think of the Dehler 38, designed by Judel/Vrolijk, as a foundation upon which you can layer gear for cruising comfort or competitive performance. With contemporary styling wrapped around a two- or three-cabin layout, you choose between sporty cruiser or plush racer. The Dehler 38 s part of Cruising World‘s 2014 New Boat Showcase.

Centurion 57

French yacht builder Wauquiez reprises its Centurion line with a Berret Racoupeau-designed 57-footer. With swept-back spreaders on a tall rig, wedge-shaped cabin house, twin wheels and ultra-modern interior, the sailboat crosses the pond infused with Euro styling. The Centurion 57 is part of Cruising World‘s 2014 New Boat Showcase.

Catalina 275 Sport

Sailing made simpler is the idea behind the 275 Sport. It’s a boat for the cruiser who no longer spends multiple nights aboard but still wants to head out with family or friends. Or it will appeal to those with a busy schedule who still have a hankering to grab a tiller and trim sheets. The Catalina 275 Sport is part of Cruising World‘s 2014 New Boat Showcase.

Catana 42 Carbon

Weight is the enemy of a performance cat, so in addition to the powerful rigs, daggerboards and tulip-shaped hulls that Catana has incorporated into its latest models, the French builder has replaced heavy fiberglass with light-weight carbon for more get-up-and-go. The Catana 42 is part of Cruising World‘s 2014 New Boat Showcase.

Blue Jacket 40

Designer Tim Jackett teamed up with Island Packet founder and designer Bob Johnson and the result is the Blue Jacket 40, a fin-keeled cruising boat that will appeal to those who appreciate IP’s construction techniques, but who want a little more pep in their sailing. The Blue Jacket 40 is part of Cruising World‘s 2014 New Boat Showcase.

Bavaria Cruiser 41

The team at Farr Yachts continues to expand on the notion of comfortable, easy-to-sail vessels with the new Cruiser 41 from Bavaria. With a couple of interior options — three cabins, two heads, or two cabins, one head — the 41 offers versatility for the private owner or charterer. The Bavaria Cruiser 41 is part of Cruising World‘s 2014 New Boat Showcase.
