Weekend in Newport’s America’s Cup Village

Newport is buzzing with the excitement of the America’s Cup World Series. Pack up the family and head to Fort Adams to get in on the action!

The America’s Cup Village at Fort Adams is open each day from 11am to 7pm. Don’t forget a hat, refillable water bottle, and sunscreen – the forecast is calling for low 80s and sun.

Not going to make it to Newport? NBC Sports will be doing live television coverage of Sunday’s racing. Tune in on Sunday at 2:30pm for 90 minutes of national programming!

What is the Rozalia Project? The Rozalia Project for a Clean Ocean’s mission is to use technology, outreach, and research to find and remove marine debris from the surface to the sea floor. It will use a remote operated vehicle to hunt down sunken trash around the shoreline of Fort Adams. An interactive display will explain the problems of marine debris and what the project is doing to help clean and raise awareness. Clean the Bay volunteers will also collect large items from the bay and the shore.
